The Notre Dame debate program dedicates itself to the cultivation of well-rounded individuals who can critically examine the world around them, recognize problems, craft appropriate solutions, and persuasively advocate for their implementation. We believe that debate is more than an enjoyable extra-curricular activity; it is also a transformative educational experience that helps an individual grow not only as a student but also as a person. We are committed to ensuring students get the opportunity to engage in the valuable experiences of free inquiry, open discussion, and intellectual interchange.
We meet weekly at 7:15 on Wednesday nights in Debartolo Hall 119!
